My journey to recovery

Hi I’m Clare and welcome you to my website and to read my own health story. I am a mom to 3 amazing boys and a Systematic Kinesiologist!

In June 2011 whilst living in Canada I was bitten by a tick. Within 24 hours my health dramatically plummeted. With endless hospital and Doctor visits. Testing including Blood work and CT brain scans. Appointments to see ENT consultants, TMJ specialists, Dentists, Chiropractors and the list goes on! Thousands of dollars later no one could find any cause to my many many array of symptoms. Yes, 2 days after being bitten I had a blood test done for Lyme but it came back clear! It was only through my own research 3 years later that I found out it takes 6 weeks to show up in blood tests!

3 years and 3 months later I found myself in an Endocrinologist’s office in Northern Ireland holding a very large block file folder with extensive research on Lyme disease. At this point I was on 2 blood pressure medications, beta blockers for my heart and a fluid retention tablet! I had turned down Parkinsons medication for restless legs syndrome and antidepressants and pain killers they also thought might help! I pleaded with this Doctor to do a Lyme test. I told him I could trace my ill health back to the time of the bite. Either taking pity on me or wanting me out of his office quick he agreed to do the test! 2 days later I had a call from him to come back in for another test as I showed positive. So the next one came back the same and I was transferred to a different hospital who specialised in infectious diseases. More testing done and I was told although my tests were positive they didn’t believe I had the symptoms! Yet my research throughout the USA concluded I certainly had all the symptoms. Did you know that Lyme can actually be misdiagnosed as conditions such as MS, Parkinsons, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia along with other autoimmune conditions? Yes, symptoms of Lyme are very similar to those conditions! I know this because I experienced them for myself! Be aware though, a lyme test may not always show positive, so I do recommend visiting a Kinesiologist who can test for this.

I had already started treating myself with my own Lyme protocol through Homeopathic, herbal remedies and seeing my Kinesiologist regularly to bring my body back into balance to heal itself. It was not easy but through determination I learnt to walk again by retraining my brain using CBT and NLP. Yes, I could not have walked the length of my driveway without losing balance! I went off my medications, detoxed my body through clean eating,

changing my skincare from chemical and toxic metal products which is pretty much the everyday ones you buy in stores to natural organic. Why you ask would that make a difference? Our skin is the largest organ in the body and what we put on it sinks straight into our whole system! I am an advocate for eating right for our bio chemistry that also includes what we feed our skin with. Through the use of antimicrobials, antifungals, antivirals and natural antibacterials I cleansed my body from this overwhelming toxic load I was carrying. Kinesiology brought my body back into balance gently through balancing hormones, the microbiome of the gut and through many powerful techniques that Kinesiology can do including Emotional Stress Release and dealing with Past trauma. It would be wrong to say I am 100% better as that is perfection and no one can say they are perfect! I am indeed stronger and healthier and can enjoy everything in life! Downtime is very important listening to our bodies is serious stuff. Fresh air, rest, fun and laughter would be my prescription!

Kinesiology was the missing link to my health problem. Where conventional medicine failed me over years, time, money and precious living lost to what could have been treated if only I had known. I now want to bring hope to many others that have had much testing done and tried “everything.” Now as a fully qualified DipAK Kinesiologist and with many other qualifications including a Teaching Certificate through the University of New York in teaching children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties such as autism. I have found my place in life. It is more than a job to me and if you ever take the opportunity to come and have an appointment for Kinesiology, you too will see how amazing it is and help answer your medical mysteries! Remember though that you have a part to play in healing your body as only it knows best how to be healed. We are all unique and Kinesiology will find the missing piece to your health in developing your own unique health plan. I hope to see you soon!

Blessings to you and your health!
